Terms of Service
Effective July 13, 2026
By using codeformatter (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What the Service is
codeformatter lets you reformat JSON, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, YAML, C, C++, and VBScript entirely in your browser. It's provided free of charge, without any account or sign-up, and is supported by display advertising.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- Scrape, automate, or bulk-submit requests in a way that degrades the Service for other users.
We reserve the right to rate-limit, block, or refuse service to any request or source we believe violates these terms.
Your content
You retain all rights to the code you paste or import and the formatted output produced from it. Since formatting runs entirely on your own device and nothing is transmitted to us, we never receive, store, or have any access to it.
No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that formatted output will be free of issues — particularly for the VBScript indenter, which is explicitly a best-effort tool, not a real parser. Always review formatted output before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Advertising & third parties
The Service displays ads served by Google AdSense and may link to third-party sites. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party content, ads, or sites you may reach through them.
Changes
We may update the Service or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
